Hussmann's Chill Chamber Offers Consumers a Super-cool Experience |
||||||
| BRIDGETON, MO (INGERSOLL RAND NEWS SERVICE) -- Hussmann and Anheuser-Busch have teamed up to introduce the new Chill Chamber refrigerated beer merchandiser for bars, restaurants and other entertainment venues. The Chill Chamber uses super-cooling technology to take the temperature of beer in aluminum or PET bottles as low as 22 degrees Fahrenheit, or 10 degrees colder than ice, without freezing it. Beer taken from the Chill Chamber stays cold an average of 17 minutes longer compared with beer removed from a conventional refrigerator. | ||||||
The Chill Chamber will be marketed through the Anheuser-Busch wholesaler/distributor channel with individual bar owners purchasing the product electronically through the chillchamber.hussmann.com Web site. Regional and national chain accounts will be sold direct by Hussmann's sales force with introductions from Anheuser-Busch. Chill Chamber was introduced last week at an Anheuser-Busch Wholesaler meeting held in Las Vegas, NV, with more than 800 attendees. Hussmann displayed more than 30 units throughout the MGM Grand hotel as well as at several establishments along the Las Vegas strip. The Chill Chamber keeps product temperature at 22 degrees Fahrenheit by taking advantage of the laws of physics for super-chilling liquids under pressure. The key to the process is to design a refrigeration system that utilizes a sophisticated air flow system coupled with an advanced control system. The technology developed by Hussmann has a number of new advances and Hussmann has applied for several patents. |
