  • Leads management team including area service and installation with a total span of control of 100 people 
  • Administers, implements, and manages service and contract/installation operations processes with the aim of driving operational excellence 
  • Maintains profit and loss responsibilities towards achieving specific budgetary objectives, accountable for business development and upholding Hussmann behaviors for success and safety cultures 
  • Oversees project management lifecycle, including sourcing, estimating, bidding processes, and resource alignment with a focus on driving customer satisfaction and business diversification 
  • Ensures internal and external customer satisfaction, including investigating concerns, resolving issues, and communicating in a timely manner; customers include technicians, support staff, management, internal departments, and clients 
  • Responsible for achieving operational financial and budgetary goals including project margin, expenses, and profit and loss ownership 
  • Supports and enforces safety culture and behaviors across all levels of the organization as well as among external contractors; participates in safety committees, site visits, inspections, communications, and investigations 
  • Develops, executes, and supports training and development opportunities for direct reports in addition to supporting and executing performance management and corrective action processes 
  • Guarantees compliance with legislative requirements and regulations for branch processes, procedures, and equipment 
  • Monitors, measures, and supports process improvement initiatives to ensure effective and timely business operations and that customer needs are met 
  • Manages branch resources in the warehouse to include inventory, tracking, reconciliations, and fleet requirements 
  • Works with department managers to meet operational demand by identifying and utilizing required skill sets, talents, and capabilities among employees 
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned 


  • The person filling this position must have held in the past a significant leadership position, such as area service manager, operations manager, installation manager, etc.
  • Proven ability to lead people and perform the full range of supervisory functions
  • Thorough understanding of commercial refrigeration and HVAC service/installation operations
  • Previous experience maintaining profit and loss responsibilities
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • High degree of business acumen
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities/tasks in a fast-paced work environment
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with AS400- or Oracle-based systems preferred
  • Flexibility to work outside normal working hours
  • Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Travel within region as required 

Education:  BS in business, mechanical engineering, construction, or related field or high school degree with 10 years of experience
