As the Project Manager, you will report to the Installation Manager.


  • You will report to the Installation Manager for the Chino Branch
  • Manage multiple construction/installation projects for commercial refrigeration equipment in a large supermarket environment
  • Accomplish store walk-throughs and site surveys, prepare quotes/bids, oversee entire project lifecycle from customer interest to startup/commissioning of equipment
  • Travel throughout southern California, most jobs within driving radius of Chino branch location (company vehicle with gas card)
  • Perform building surveys of HVAC and refrigeration equipment/controls and operational costs and validate preliminary information with customers
  • Maintain relationships with subcontractors and prepare requests for quotation including scope statements, plans, specs, and bonding requirements
  • Perform construction plan review or other requirements as determined by project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet all of the customer's facility requirements
  • Provide knowledge and consultation in the form of developing facility-related solutions
  • Determine project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet the entire customer's building system design and installation requirements
  • Prepare and finalize preliminary and final proposals
  • Handle issues related to onsite field personnel to ensure safety, quality, and timely production
  • Create detailed cost estimates consisting of controls, service agreements, materials, mechanical/electrical/other subcontractors, purchased equipment, labor, and other construction-related activities to assist account managers in bidding or determining project pricing
  • Use plans, specifications, and knowledge of controls/construction industry to analyze project needs and compiles detailed cost estimates
  • Oversee the takeoff and pricing of controls materials, services and equipment to ensure accuracy of quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options, etc.
  • Plan and analyze assigned projects, establishes schedules/project parameters and sets procedures to accomplish system goals involving complex applications
  • Identify possible cost-saving opportunities and risk items to occur on multiple projects
  • Clarify and reconcile information gaps and scope deviations with operations group
  • Resolve major deviations from scope with team after project scope validation
  • Maintain quote log consisting of closed, open, and lost orders


  • High school diploma required
  • 5+ years' relevant experience
  • Project management skills (training/certification a plus)
  • Knowledge of supermarket refrigeration installation operations (field work, technician, foreman, sales, and related roles)
  • Knowledge of construction/safety federal, state, county codes and regulations
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular working hours
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Travel within region
