This position will provide engineering, estimating and planning services for refrigeration systems, Port-A-Pak, Econo-Pak, coil products, cases and panel products to the branch or distributors, including sales, service, construction, manufacturing and engineering departments to service customers' needs. It will also provide accurate refrigeration legends to the Sales/Order Entry Department and provide additional training for new engineers in the areas of Application Engineering.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct engineering studies on most efficient type of systems requirements on new and remodel stores for customers. Make recommendations to sales department and/or service department on innovative engineering approaches and advantages of various types of refrigeration and energy management system applications.
- Work with sales, drafting, service, construction, customers, consulting engineering firm and/or architect to assure proper system layouts and designs.
- Prepare quotations (including controller worksheets, pricing sheets, refrigeration legends and price lists) for all products while following the specifications provided by the customer.

- Organize and maintain jog files for customer base.
- Serve as the focal point for liaison with the sales and service department.
- Understand the concepts and process of Lean Enterprise
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 2+ years of experience OR Technical Degree and 6+ years of experience
- Manufacturing experience a plus.
- Refrigeration or HVAC experience required.
The annual salary range of $66,500-123,500 is just one component of Hussmann's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, and location. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
