This is a customer facing position supporting a high volume, high velocity retailer and the c-store sales team.  This position will be part of the Small Format sales team, reporting to the Sales Manager.   This individual will work with the customer and its consultants to understand case operating parameters and provide appropriate remedies. This individual will work directly with the customer and their third-party consultant to ensure alignment and execution of Hussmann case installation and operation per Hussmann specifications and requirements.  This individual will serve as the technical support and first line of communication to the installers while also helping to coordinate FQS and FER support in the field. This individual must understand the customers’ install and service processes and ensure compliance. This individual will be responsible for multiple concurrent projects and work with various departments as well as external organizations to meet customer objectives and deadlines.  This individual will help ensure world class technical support and customer service is provided to the customer.


  • Maintain and manage all projects plans for new prototype layouts by and for Small format.  Coordinate and lead internal and external project meetings, including architect and general contractor correspondence.
  • Coordinate store circuiting and work with Application Engineering to develop accurate legends and manage revisions to match plan changes.
  • Develop job opening documents and work with Coordinator to open jobs.  Manage and check all plans and acknowledgments, review fixture plans to apply appropriate case models from customer online program. Identify inventory cases available for rework and track and maintain cost and revenue.
  • Work with Account Manager, Quoter and Coordinator to modify orders where necessary in order to minimize field errors.
  • Play a key role in the cross-functional team (Sales, Quoting, Coordination, Logistics) by providing: customer expectations, project information/updates, confirmed deadlines, consolidated shipments, and rollout coordination.
  • Responsible for submitting COD (Custom Order Development) to the primary contacts, work with engineering team to ensure customer specification and project timing are being met.
  • Manage field equipment responsibilities for small format accounts.
  • Work with FER team to ensure timely identifying, ordering and shipping of required parts.
  • Manage and track FR reporting and resolution process.
  • Must be able to manage and control job extra costs and charge backs including contractor warranty training and Tavant submittals.
  • Develops and maintains tracking reports (e.g. installation KPIs, Quality KPIs, etc.).
  • Create Hussmann internal database to generate required customer and internal reports.
  • Must be prepared to take on additional responsibilities as they become necessary.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in marketing, business, engineering or related field or equivalent.

Preferred Skills

  • 7+ years’ project management/coordination/administration experience
  • Must be process driven with a strong attention to details
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and adapting to changing priorities
  • Ability to develop and maintain an organized and repeatable sales, service and ordering process
  • Ability to prioritize and re-prioritize quickly and has a sense of urgency
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work creatively and independently to keep pace with a high volume, high velocity account
  • Strong technical and customer service background 
  • Understanding of Hussmann cases and systems (e.g. Freedom Line) preferred.
  • Strong understanding and proven experience working within Hussmann’s organization and processes (e.g. Installation, Service, Warranty, FR process, COD improvements, etc.) preferred.
  • Refrigeration product experience a plus
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Internet Explorer, HOPS
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Ideal location for this position is any of the following: Bridgeton MO, Chesapeake VA, Philadelphia PA, Charlotte NC
  • Up to 25% - 50% travel
