The Sr Software Quality Assurance Lead will work with the other members of the StoreConnect design team to develop, implement, maintain, and improve the test systems used to verify the cloud and embedded software necessary to process, store, retrieve, analyze, and visualize data gathered by on-premises instrumentation. Individually responsible for the development of test plans and leading the software QA team for an existing commercial product. This will include software test development in Python and requires familiarity with both SQL and no-SQL databases. Responsible for verifying both the performance and functionality of newly developed cloud and embedded software. Will require working with both local and offshore resources.  

What You'll Do       

• Develop tests used to verify cloud software, embedded software, and UI/UX applications

• Extend and enhance an automated end-to-end testing framework
• Develop software testing standards and strategies and use these to develop system and sub-system test plans
• Manage risk and support the team’s agile release process

What You'll Bring

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
    • 15+ years’ experience, including 8+ years’ experience leading a team
      • 10+ in software test development and implementation
      • 5+ years of experience with Python development and implementation
    • Experience with implementation of black-box and white-box testing methodologies for systems, hardware and user interfaces, including manual and automated testing
    • Experience with automated testing and development operations frameworks, Jenkins and TCL experience preferred
    • Experience with Agile/DevOps project planning, bug tracking systems
    • Experience with cloud computing and cloud hosting services; AWS experience preferred
    • Experience with Linux development environment
    • Documentation skills


  • Comfortable developing and integrating code into an existing code base and existing test platform
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and data acquisition systems
  • Familiarity with a variety of data formats including JSON, CSV, HEX, and array-based data
  • Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with testing UI/UX applications
  • Ability to take initiative and effect change
  • Excellent analytical skills and detail orientation
  • Strong problem-solving skills
