The Financial Analyst is responsible for performing accounting and finance functions consisting of forecasting, reporting, analysis, and month end close responsibilities. Additionally, this role is responsible for calculating incentives, capital expenditure requests, and managing and leading projects. The Financial Analyst reports to the Aftermarket Solutions Controller.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
- Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
- Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze monthly closing reports and entries
- Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards
- Calculate sales incentive accruals and pay outs
- Review the P&L throughout the month to identify trend issues and resolve
- Manage cost centers and report out to the appropriate business partner
- Analyze and prepare capital expenditure requests
- Collaborate across multiple business units
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3-5 years experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of general ledger
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Experience with Power BI, PowerPoint, and Word
- Solid analytic, strategic and project management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a self-directed, independent manner as well as a member within a team environment
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the business with professionalism
