Summary
As Marketing Manager, you will create and deliver strategic marketing campaigns, integrated media calendars, and digitally focused thought leadership to ultimately strengthen brand and product awareness specifically for Hussmann's Commercial Equipment business. This position will have direct responsibility of the Technical Publications team as well as marketing leads in the Commercial Equipment business. The role reports directly to the Senior Director of Marketing Communications.
Job Description:
- Lead in the creation and delivery of marketing programs and campaigns for various businesses, utilizing digital and traditional approaches
- Design strategic marketing initiatives for product launches, business development opportunities, brand strengthening, awareness campaigns, and sales messaging
- Develop a marketing and communications center of excellence to support all Commercial Equipment business needs
- Own robust media calendar for Hussmann's digital and traditional strategies/executions
- Directly manage team of marketing specialists for the Commercial Equipment business as well as the Technical Publications team
- Lead event marketing programs to drive sales and collaboration opportunities with customers
- Develop and lead the integration of messaging and market position strategy encompassing all business units and market sectors within Hussmann's Commercial Equipment group
- Assess and prioritize advertising and public relations opportunities for Hussmann
- Collaborate with business unit leaders to identify/prioritize the marketing needs of various business ' partnering across multiple key businesses
- Develop strategic content marketing initiatives to drive traffic, engagement, and leads to deliver sales and customer retention
- Design marketing strategies to promote Hussmann and its products/solutions, ultimately driving qualified traffic to the sales channel and further increase brand awareness
- Partner with digital lead to optimize digital editorial calendar and organization workflows for website, social media channels, product launches, and sales support
- Create and own the annual marketing budgets for each of the various business units and assist in forecasting the requirements for them
- Work with business executives to ghostwrite articles for various publications, speaking opportunities, and social media posts
- Create thought leadership pieces and materials for various digital platforms
- Manage external resources, including 3rd party vendors, as needed
- Act as the communication hub for multiple Hussmann projects, ensuring timely and consistent correspondence
- Measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts through various analytical channels, including robust media calendars and specific KPIs
- Partner with digital team to create and deliver robust marketing content on website, social media, trade publications, advertising, and all other marketing opportunities
- Audit, measurement, and optimization of programs are required on regular and ongoing basis
- Collaborate across functions and silos to deliver an effective marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 6+ years in marketing communications
- Strong leadership capabilities ' including direct management of an internal team
- Product-marketing experience a plus (in established product lines and/or emerging business solutions)
- Food retailing experience a plus
- Proven work experience in creating and managing strategic integrated marketing campaigns and media calendars for direct business/sales impact
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills required
- Must be able to work independently as well collaborate across cross-functional business units in a dynamic environment
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills
- Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement, leads, and sales
- Must be able to work on multiple projects at a time, while paying close attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
- Familiarity with graphic design including working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- Familiarity with web development and content management publishing systems, SEO and Google Analytics and software (CMS)
- Ability to travel ~10% of the time
