Manage the activities of supervisors, clerks, cell leaders, and production employees to safely meet established production schedules on time and within budget. Determine the staffing levels to meet production requirements while controlling expenses. Take the steps necessary to assure all quality related procedures and processes are followed. Manage the progress of production schedules to assure completion on time.
Monitor the performance of direct reports, coaching them to be successful in their job and addressing all performance issues timely.
Comply with all safety /environmental federal, state and local regulations as well as all company policy and procedures.
Effectively communicate with departmental employees, managers, customers and suppliers to keep everyone abreast of the state of the business, to resolve problems and achieve business goals.

Manage the Performance and Development Process for all direct reports
Lead cross-functional teams to implement continuous flow manufacturing and pull systems, 5S improvement, standard work, set-up reduction, and problem solving/rapid change activities
Conduct assessments of manufacturing operations to provide focused improvement opportunities to increase production efficiencies, eliminate waste, reduce inventory, reduce lead times, increase quality and improve on time performance
Utilize effective training techniques to ensure all personnel to have the requisite knowledge and skill to deploy Lean Manufacturing methodologies
Minimum ten years of manufacturing experience.
Experience as a supervisor and developing direct reports.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and influence others including those not under his/her direct supervision.
Able to drive improvement through the implementation of the lean manufacturing principles.
Strongly focused on important end results; sets objectives which are clearly defined for self and others; gets results consistently over time; avoids peripheral actions that deflect attention from key priorities.

Proactively keep Production Control, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing updated daily on material shortages Coordinate with Leads and Supervisor to have parts kitted in a timely manner to ensure parts availability in support of production requirements Ensure no “extra” kits or materials are on the production floor Audit kits to ensure accuracy and appropriate presentation to the factory Coordinate Kan-Ban levels to ensure the process has optimum stocking levels, cards are accurate and the area(s) are clean Corrects identified work in process inventories in BaaN Expedites shortage parts through the Receiving process Responds to Engineering Change Orders/Engineering Change Requests Conducts audits to ensure that all inventory transactions occur in an accurate and timely manner Leads cycle count of work in process Participates in daily shift start up meetings and Primary Visual Display board maintenance Perform job in a safety conscious and responsible manner with a focus on customer service and inventory accuracy Comply with all company policies and procedures Practice and maintain 5S standards within work area Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements: • High School Diploma or equivalent is required. • Prior experience with parts pulling and cycle counting • Must be able to read and understand units of measurement (ex: feet, inches, each, roll, etc.). • Experience working in stockroom/warehouse department is required. • Must be able to accurately record and transfer information/transactions to required forms. • Experience with bar code guns is required. • Willing to cross-train and work when needed across all areas of stockroom, shipping and receiving. • Must be able to use power tools, forklifts and overhead cranes. • Must be able to perform work responsibilities with minimal supervision. • Must be flexible and available to work overtime as required by production needs. • Must be able to work with all levels of employees within plant/office and external suppliers and truck drivers. • Must work well in a team environment. • Must be able to push/pull a fully loaded cart (maximum of 125 lbs). • Experience with ISO 9001, 5S and Lean Manufacturing a plus.
• Ensure that systems transactions are completed and filed accurately and on time. • Perform daily and annual cycle counts. • Put away and pull parts for production. • Receive, process, put away, transfer, pull kits and restock parts to/from various areas. • Support all Lean and Quality Initiatives. • Perform other duties as assigned.
