Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform Process / Product Audits to ensure Production is in compliance with process controls and requirements
  • Visually inspect cases on all areas of Line and offline to validate they meet Customer and Engineering requirements. Perform functional tests (e.g., Pressure Decay test)
  • Process all associated paperwork necessary to complete Case Inspections (Process and Product) taking required photos, entering inspection record in Intelex and closing jobs in BaaN system
  • Able to read engineering drawings, electrical and piping diagrams
  • Capable to use measurement equipment such as measure tape, pressure gauges, etc.
  • Document case nonconformance, report issue/s to Supervision and complete by signing off after rework / fix is deemed acceptable
  • Other duties as assigned by Lead, Supervisor or Quality Manager

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Must have at least 1-year experience with building cases. Preferably end of line, off-line or refrigeration.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
  • The individual must have good communication skills.
  • Must have experience using screw guns, drill motors, & be able read tape measures.
  • Familiar with Bill of Materials (BOM), Hussmann Cases - Sales Order Acknowledgement is a plus.
  • Employee must be confident while inspecting and willing to stand behind a quality product he/she is putting his/her name on prior to shipping orders to customers.
  • The ideal candidate will be a team player, with a positive attitude and a drive for innovation offering new & creative ideas that will improve the Quality department's efficiencies. Knowledge of various case models.
  • HS Diploma or GED preferred
  • Must join a union
  • Familiar with Bill of Materials (BOM), Hussmann Cases - Sales Acknowledgement is a plus

The hourly range of $20.00-21.50 is just one component of Hussmann's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, location and union designation. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
